I had difficulty making friends here. Not a problem I've generally had. I noticed that people were edgy around me from the time I met them. I figured whatever it was that was keeping people from being friendly had to be in my appearance because it was there when I first met people, generally before I even opened my mouth. Since this was the first time in my life I have had this problem, I assumed it was my weight. People are very weight sensitive here. Far more so than people in California. It was a logical connection. But no. That wasn't it. Nope. They just don't like me.


Live and learn.
I can appreciate the humor in having my assumption be so completely dead wrong.
